Ahlgren Vineyards

California, the most populous state of the United States, located on the Pacific coast of North America is bordered by Oregon, Nevada, Arizona and Mexico. The four largest cities are Los Angeles, San Diego, San Jose and San Francisco. California is also the home of and wine producing regions such as Santa Barbara and Northern California's Wine Country.

Ahlgren Vineyard, founded in 1976 and still situated in the cellar beneath the rustic mountain home of Dexter and Valerie Ahlgren, is committed to limited production of fine premium wines like Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Semillon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Nebbiolo, Zinfandel and Syrah. They employ traditional, hands-on methods and premium grapes from cautiously selected vineyards.

The Ahlgrens, Dexter and Val, built this redwood post and beam house in the year 1975. When Val's wines became interestingly tasty, owner Dexter became intrigued, and it turned out he was the gifted winemaker in the family. Possessing that precious combination of sharp senses of taste and smell, and blessed with common sense, Dexter established an intuitive and intelligent awareness of how to handle grapes and wine.

The wines they offer include 2000 Ahlgren Syrah, 2001 Ahlgren Semillon, 2001 Ahlgren Pinot Noir, Monterey, Ventana Vineyards, 2001 Ahlgren Cabernet Sauvignon, Santa Cruz Mountains Bates' Ranch, Ventana, 2001 Ahlgren Merlot, Non-Vintage Ahlgren Zinfandel, 2001 Ahlgren Cabernet Franc Bates' Ranch,  2003 Ahlgren Zinfandel, Livermore Valley and 2004 Ahlgren Chardonnay.

Ahlgren Vineyards are one of the best in the wine business and are aware that quality is not accidental but by high intention and perseverance and are devoted to follow it on any backgrounds.
