Chalk Hill Estate Vineyards

California, the most populous state of the United States, located on the Pacific coast of North America is bordered by Oregon, Nevada, Arizona and Mexico. The four largest cities are Los Angeles, San Diego, San Jose and San Francisco. California is also the home of and wine producing regions such as Santa Barbara and Northern California's Wine Country.

The California appellation is part of the key to the brand's success, since it allows wine makers to roam prime California sources for just the juice they want. It has evolved from a brand Americans associate and owns 140 acres of vineyards. The majorities of the grapes for its wines are sourced from coastal appellations and selected Northern California vineyards.

Chalk Hill Estate Vineyards started a venture with partnership in an Estate Vineyard in South Monterey County's Lockwood Valley. More than 25 percent of the 246 acre vineyard is planted with the winery's flagship varietal in Merlot. Additionally, Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon are also grown to experimental blocks of Sangiovese, Zinfandel, Syrah, Pinot Grigio, Marsanne, Malbec and Cabernet Franc.

Winemaking at Chalk Hill Estate Vineyards is a dynamic process where diversity is created by tailoring vinification and cellar practices to the individual vineyard lots. Nevertheless, there is a crucial process that defines their idealistic approach and establishes a reference for maneuvers exclusively suited to each fermentation lot. Chalk Hill Estate’s goal is to extract and retain all of the color and flavor that is delivered in the grapes with quality taste that soothes the mind.

Chalk Hill Estate Vineyards wine label is very special to and reflects their roots and efforts. At Chalk Hill Estate Vineyards, their philosophy is to grow the finest grapes possible and let the fruit express itself in the wine. Since all of their grapes are estate grown, each bottle of wine they produce embodies the characteristics of their unique region, exhibiting the natural flavors that are born from the land.
