Ferrari-Carano Winery

California, the most populous state of the United States, located on the Pacific coast of North America is bordered by Oregon, Nevada, Arizona and Mexico. The four largest cities are Los Angeles, San Diego, San Jose and San Francisco. California is also the home of and wine producing regions such as Santa Barbara and Northern California's Wine Country.

Ferrari-Carano's Estate Winery is located in Dry Creek Valley and it is home to Ferrari-Carano's Hospitality Visitor’s Center in Villa Fiore. It was built in 1981 and now focuses mainly on producing stellar white wines. Ferrari-Carano harvests their grapes at night, when temperatures are the coolest, giving us crisp and intense fruit flavors. Since 1985, it is the leading producer of world class, nationally acclaimed wines. Vintage after vintage, the wines exhibit a remarkable consistency of style and elegance.

Ferrari-Carano, unlike their corporate competitors, Don and Rhonda Carano's uncompromising commitment to quality and excellence is a reflection of their desire to produce memorable wines. It has 19 estate vineyards in four appellations totaling more than 1400 acres. It became apparent to Don Carano that in order to maintain its quality and produce the world-acclaimed wines that it has become known for, two separate winemaking locations were needed.

Their Fume Blanc is produced from seven of their estate vineyards in Dry Creek, Alexander and Russian River Valleys. Their Alexander Valley is created from eleven different estate vineyards and is a blend of fourteen different clones and selections. Their Reserve Chardonnay is from their Napa Carneros ranch, and is complemented with fractions of their best lots from their Alexander Valley vineyards. The Russian River Valley Chardonnay series are all single vineyard designates from premier locations in this appellation.

Today, Ferrari-Carano's success is based first and foremost on the persistent dedication of the best vineyard and winemaking teams, and their commitment to making the finest wines year after year, without compromise.
