Unti Vineyards was founded in 1990 and the winery was established in 1997 and is owned and operated by George and Mick Unti. Mick manages all sales, marketing and winemaking for the winery. Sebastien Pochan performs winemaking. Their appellation is Dry Creek Valley. It is a 32 acre winery planted to Syrah, Zinfandel, Grenache Noir, Mourvedre, Petite Sirah, Barbera, Montepulciano, Grenache Blanc, Picpoul Blanc and Vermentino. It produces around 6,000 cases every year. Winemakers are Mick Unti and Sebastien Pochan.

Dry Creek Valley’s weather is ideal for growing classic Mediterranean red grape varieties. When farmed for quality, these varieties show their desired attributes in wines from this appellation that is ripe tannins, expressive fruit and balanced acidity. They use modern techniques such as long pre-fermentation maceration, using open top tanks, a basket press, and aging their wines in only French oak barrels and Foudre to highlight the aromatics and flavors derived from the vineyards.

Dry Creek Valley also offers several award winning wines that include 2004 Petite Frere, 2004 Zindandel, 2003 Syrah Benchland Reserve, 2004 Grenache and 2003 Syrah. The goal of Unti Vineyard’s winemaking program is to create wines of uncompromising quality with optimum flavor and aromatic components that reflect the unique characteristics of the vineyards from which they come.
