California is known for its pleasant climate and ethnically diverse population. The name California is most commonly believed derived from a storied paradise peopled by black Amazons and ruled by Queen Califia.

Los Angeles is the largest city in the state of California and the second-largest in the United States. It is an alpha world city having a population of approximately four million people and spanning 498 square miles.
