Traveling between Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm via Orange County Transportation Authority buses requires a transfer at the intersection of Katella Avenue and Beach Boulevard, which is situated in Stanton. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 8.1 square kilometers. As per the census of 2000, there were 37,403 people, 10,767 households, and 7,806 families residing in the city and the population density was 4,628.6 per square kilometers.
