This city is home to the Six Flags Marine World theme park which was formerly Marine World Africa USA.

As of the censusGR2 of 2005, there were 125,900 people, 39,601 households, and 28,235 families residing in the city. The population density was 1,495.3 square kilometers. This city was once home of the Coastal Miwok as well as Suisunes and other Patwin Native American tribes.
