California is the most populous state of the United States. Located on the Pacific coast of North America, it is bordered by Oregon, Nevada, Arizona and Mexico. Yuba City is the county seat of Sutter County, California, United States. It is the main city of the Yuba City Metropolitan Statistical Area which encompasses all of Sutter County and Yuba County. As of January 1st, 2006, the city had a total population of 60,507, while the metro area's population was 156,029. It is the 21st largest metropolitan region in California ranked behind Redding, and Chico.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 24.4 square kilometers. As of the census of 2000, there are 36,758 people, 13,290 households, and 8,944 families residing in the city. The population density is 1,514.7 square kilometers. Some of the community parks include Sam Brannan Park, Blackburn-Talley Sports Complex Park and Gauche Park.
