Pacific Artisans Community announces addition of Rose Hughes

SAN JOSE, CA (PRWEB) March 22, 2006  Pacific Artisans Community, the leading “by invitation only” online, commercial marketplace for artisans and artists is pleased to announce the addition of nationally renowned fabric artist, Rose Hughes.

With a national reputation for her colorful silk and embellished quilts, Ms. Hughes has also gained an audience for her work as a lecturer; teacher; museum and gallery curator and author of a unique series of books on the art of quilting. She has been selected to exhibit her work in major regional shows and in art galleries in numerous states, including Washington, North Carolina, Ohio, Texas, Arizona and California. She has also appeared on several television shows, and was featured on Simply Quilts: Rose Hughes – The Birds and the Beads (Episode #919).

“We are exceptionally fortunate and honored to have an artist of the caliber of Rose Hughes become a part of the Pacific Artisans Community, “ said Elliott Dahan, CEO of Pacific Artisans. “Rose brings more than just a truly inspired body of work, she also brings her in-depth knowledge of fabric art, as evident in the demand for her lectures, classes, and written articles and books.”

“Inspiration for my work is drawn from my love of the ever-changing hills that make up our coastal and inland landscape, and from the ravens that mirror and mock this region’s sometimes lunatic human residents,” says Ms. Hughes. “I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to share my recent explorations of color and light, shape and form with a wider audience through the medium of Pacific Artisans Community’s state-of-the-art communication process.”

Pacific Artisans brings Artisans, Artists and Consumers closer together. It is the core belief of Pacific Artisans that people want to know more than just what the Artisan or Artist produced, they want to know who the person is and what inspired the person to create their Work.
