Renown Author/Coach Tristan Loo Contributes In Fight Against Infant Mortality

Tristan Loo, Author, Personal Development Coach, and founder of ACRS, has teamed up with the March of Dimes Foundation in the fight against infant mortality in the annual WalkAmerica Fundraiser held in San Diego, California.

March 20, 2006 (San Diego, Ca.) -- Conflict expert, lifetime fitness advocate, and founder of Alternative Conflict Resolution Services, Tristan Loo, is teaming up with WalkAmerica and the March of Dimes Foundation in the ongoing fight against premature birth defects and infantile death in the annual Walk America Fundraiser in San Diego at Balboa Park on April 29, 2006.

Tristan, a former nationally-ranked NCAA gymnast for the University of California, Santa Barbara, is supporting a life-long friend and member of the County of San Diego Team in her six-mile walk around the scenic Balboa Park.  The walk, organized by The March of Dimes Foundation, is a nationwide fundraiser to generate financial backing for research and awareness into the societal problem of premature birth and infant mortality.

According to the March of Dimes website, “Every day 1 in 8 babies born in the U.S. arrives too soon. Premature birth can happen to any pregnant woman, and no one knows why. It is a serious, common and costly problem. The March of Dimes is leading the campaign to reduce premature birth by supporting research and by educating the public and health care providers.”

Tristan, is a personal development coach, and author of Street negotiation—How to Resolve Any Conflict Anytime.  He combines his extensive martial arts training as well as his experience as a former police officer to empower others to communicate more compassionately with themselves and with others.  Tristan is currently writing his second book entitled, Practical Peace.

“Two things I love the most are my love of health & fitness and helping champion a heroic cause.  I really have a lot of respect for the WalkAmerica Fundraisers around the nation and for the many heroes who participate in it.” Said Tristan in a recent interview.

The WalkAmerica Fundraiser will take place at the following date and time:
April 29, 2006 @ 8:30am
San Diego—Balboa Park
